Needed to use that momentum to make Lemmy grow
Still not sure about the best Android App, I've tried Interstellar, what seemed kind of unfinished. Now I have Voyager, what seems better so far.
Furthermore I miss some Sub..Lemmis? like r/bida (am i the asshole), r/Staiy, r/LeopardsAteMyFace .

Still confused. My app connects me to a single one of the two instances I joined and I managed to get myself in a position where I get separate notifications from separate posts on those instances. So I've been going back and forth between my app and Firefox. Still a bit confused....
You should only have one account. The instance you choose is only responsible to store your data, you will still be able to view all communities on all instances
Well, you only need one account. You can have as many as you want.
Not even sure if I saw any posts on buyfromEU. I just saw a picture somewhere with alternatives to various platforms, and it had Lemmy. I had been looking for an alternative to Reddit anyway, so thought I'd give it a shot. My first day here, I got banned from like three Reddit subs and got multiple content takedowns and warnings for up voting Luigi adjacent comments/posts. At that point I was done. Deleted my account yesterday.
I just scroll through the main All feed. Seems like a cool place so far. I'm using the Photon UI because I like how it looks on PC.

Between Mangione in the US and the Buy European movement, I feel like we're attracting the right kind of crowd. If https://50501.chat/ becomes a central hub of US protests we'll basically have the entire western resistance gathered on Lemmy.

I am having trouble with the absence of centralized communities. For many many topics communities seem to exist on multiple instances and that splits up the user base and discussions it seems. I get that it is an inherent part of the design, but it hurts my experience.
Also the number of users seems to be too low still to create a lively environment. I hope that changes but so far the number of posts and comments on those posts seems a bit low compared to what I was used to.
Having said all that, I love the app (I am using voyager) and the general vibe of the people on here. Letโs hope on more users and a continued constructive community!

Thanks, I love it so far. Been feeling a little guilty for staying on Reddit after the API changes but felt too daunting to learn how to fediverse. Glad I finally pushed myself to do it. (Sync helped a lot too since I had it for Reddit before and was/is awesome!)
Welcome ! I don't know Sync but people seems to like it for Lemmy and there is lot of other choice to try for.
