Sleeps in suit and tie. Wakes up and puts on something more comfortable to lounge in.

[–] RootBeerGuy@discuss.tchncs.de 37 points 1 year ago (1 children)

He doesn't. The tie is still there.

oh shit you are right. I though that was like an open button up over a white under shirt.

Yeah, a tie is the one single item of clothing I simply cannot sleep in. Suit? Uniform? Body Armour? No issues. Add a tie and it just gets on my nerves too much.

Everyone needs a "Zero day" every now and then.

[–] OutlierBlue@lemmy.ca 14 points 1 year ago (3 children)

every now and then.

So what are we talking here, every other day? Every third day? I don't want to overdo it.

Every 24 hours is good

[–] Glytch@ttrpg.network 3 points 1 year ago

That depends on your own mental health situation, but I do it about every other week

I ended up "under-doing" it, got the flu as a result, and ended up having three zero days in a row followed by three bare minimum days.

If you're still alive at the end of the day, you did the bare minimum.

Unless you have kids, they have to be alive too at end of the day to meet minimum criteria.

OK, good point. You and your dependents, including spouses and cats.

Cats yes. Don't hold me responsible for spouse though, that's too stressful.

You can (nearly) always make new ones.

  1. Strap helmets on your kids.

  2. Fill an automatic pet feeder with Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

  3. Do nothing else.

Here is your bare-minimum trophy 🏆

[–] ColonelSanders@lemmy.world 14 points 1 year ago

*I'm not even going to do the bare minimum today, am I?

That grammar bothered me more than it should have.

Me recovering from covid. And also, you know, the dysthymia.

I remember when I had a weak strain of COVID (barely any symptoms except for achiness all over, slight stuffiness, brain fog, and trouble getting enough oxygen). Even without doing anything, I was tired enough at the end of the day to sleep about 9-10 hours straight.

I wouldn't want to have a stronger strain, and I hope you get better soon.
