Correct me if Im wrong but I feel like OSRS is one of the few "big" games to actually care about its community and playerbase.

In terms of MMORPG's, yeah, but there's plenty of other great examples of devs/publishers caring a lot for their players.

From Software is a good example, I think. They put out banger after banger without implementing any shitty monetization despite how much money they could potentially make by doing so. Id Software is still pretty great, despite being owned by Bethesda now... Shovel Knight is also a good example with all their free DLCs... Risk of Rain is still going strong in terms of respect for players despite being owned by Gearbox.

But yeah, can't think of a single MMO tbh

I think you're right, but I also think after all the bad stuff that happened in the main game... Jagex kind of needs to keep it that way.

Thinking about it a little more, the Albion team also seems pretty good in terms of MMOs
