Is there a way to open external links in private mode by default?

I am on Android with Firefox, and there's no way to copy the links out of a post, so it opens in the "powered by Firefox" half browser thing, and id rather open every link in private mode, or have the option to long-press and copy.

Thanks.

I use URLCheck to open links from all apps. It allows you to see the link before opening it, chosing wich browser you want to open it in and if it should be opened in incognito/normal mode and/or this "half browser thing". It also alows some more customization

That's awesome, thanks for the heads up.

Go to your FF app, Settings, Private Browsing, and enable Open Links in a Private Tab. The bar on the top of the embedded browser in your Lemmy app should turn purple if it works.

I was just going to request the ability to long press to see where a link is going. I don't like blind clicking on embedded links. Your request would kill two birds with one stone!
