Whatever it is I don't associate with it because I've always found those to be a bit cringe.

Memes evolve in nature with time. We will probably not have memes of the same nature as the memes that happened a decade ago, but memes of a different nature. Find out soon which memes come up after the reddit mass migration and defederation fearmongering craze π
You can't decide that kind of thing. If it doesn't happen organically, it won't take off.
