City builder fans should be happy: there's still a lot to look forward to before the end of this year.

CS2 thus far seems like an insane step up. Very excited.

Big shout out to manor lords as, if I remember correctly, it's made by a single dev from Ukraine who has been heavily impacted by the current war.

The demo was really fun!

I had no idea it was a Ukrainian game. I thought it was just another unity-like scam game but if it's a real serious game he has my support when it launches.

Tentatively excited for CS2. Put a lot of time in the first game but after initial learning you really needed mods to make it interesting. It also wasn't that great of a sim. Paradox's DLC strategy is also abysmal, I see the first "expansion" is bridges and ports. I haven't been able to find any information on what is in the expansion.

This looks great. I've steadily gotten into this sort of game over the years. I mostly play age of empires 2, and occasionally sim city. What other games should I check out that aren't going to bleed me dry on DLC?

Thanks for sharing this article. Hadn't heard of a few of these. Looking forward to Manor Lords and CS2 myself. But I'll check out the others as well I'm sure.
