Fedora Silverblue
Linux
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

Fedora on desktop, Rocky on servers except my K8s cluster which is on Fedora Coreos
Hi for now i'm on Debian 12 on my laptop Asus gl553vd, all is working great
Debian testing until it gets stable, then stable until I get envious of new stuff then testing again. For about 20 years, can’t really remember when I switched from SuSE.
Look at my username and take a wild guess btw lol
Started on Ubuntu like most, but Arch feels like home.
I'm a relative Linux noob so I've got a couple machines with Ubuntu, an old laptop with cinnamon, and an orangepi with the specific Ubuntu image for that.
ParrotOS for personal, current Ubuntu LTS for business
I have two laptops that run Ubuntu and one that runs Mint. I've always liked Mint, and trying most other distros feels too different from what I'm used to at this point.
Ubuntu or Kubuntu. Long are gone the days where I used to tinker with different Linux flavors.
Fortunately, I can afford powerful enough systems so I do not have to be worried about optimizing every single aspect of the OS.
I want things just to work out of the box. I am aware that this applies to more distros than Ubuntu, but I just do not have the time and energy anymore.
I am using ubuntu out of convenience, but the latest fedora was quite awesome and neg reinstall will be based on it. On server side however I'll remain on ubuntu.
Debian (usually Sid) and Arch.
Just recently switched my main server to Void linux. I tried it because it doesn't use systemd, but then I ran across something in the install docs like: just add the commands for your network config to /etc/rc.local, and that had me hooked. That's how you'd do it in V7 Unix, ha ha! My desktop is openbsd, but I'm planning on switching that over to Void soon. (I tried, and ran into audio problems, haven't had a chance to try again.)
Whatever fits the purpose
Personal Desktop and Laptop: Arch Servers: Mostly Debian some Ubuntu I have one arch sever (running aurto) Work Laptop: Ubuntu Servers at work: Debian/Ubuntu
Manjaro Gnome, on laptop and desktop
Proxmox for VMs. Fedora on my personal workhorse laptop. Arch for my PineTab 2
Manjaro KDE.
Currently using Mint 21.1 with KDE Plasma as a DE
Just Ubuntu. I have tried plenty of others but Ubuntu just seems to tick most boxes for me.
EDIT: I am looking forward to the new Pop! when it comes out, I will surely give it a try, No idea if I will switch then though.
For my desktops/laptops I use Void Linux, for my servers I use Debian.
Using Arch Linux for over 12 years now.
- Debian: home laptop, home PC, work PC
- Ubuntu Server: at work (servers)
- Rocky Linux: at work (servers)
Been using Fedora Ublue for a while now. It really just works and is up to date. Even nvidia drivers and secure boot works immediately. The updates also happen automatically and are actually just immages being downloaded and switched to by a reboot. And of courss I have a distrobox with arch for the aur
Kubuntu 23.04. Eventually going to try Mint, see if it's more stable on my machine, but there isn't time just now.
Ubuntu or kde neon are my go to distros
I've been quite happy with Linux Mint on all my devices, but since I've started using i3 and apt purge

My primary driver for the last few months has been OpenSUSE MicroOS (immutable based on Tumbleweed).
From the server perspective majority of my servers ive cutover to OpenSUSE Leap Micro, as most if not all of my workloads are container based. For some of my non-container things i typically land on Debian.
I've been distro hopping (mostly Debian-based) for a while, and for some reason, I just kind of settled on Zorin. Mostly because I didn't feel like setting things up again, but it's also a decent distro that just works for me.
Fedora for desktop/laptop, and Debian or Ubuntu for my servers.
EndeavourOS for desktops, Ubuntu for servers
I haven't used Linux much last few years, used to run Ubuntu. Currently I have a crappy old hp stream thats happily running mint os tho! Poor thing barely booted windows at one point, now its again capable of surfing the web and downloading/viewing docs. Any better lightweight distros out anybody can reccomend?
I have openSuse Tumbleweed on my desktop and Ubuntu 22.04 on a laptop which I use as a server... But which has become my temporary, primary machine, as my desktop is down with a dead psu ATM...
Kubuntu/Plasma on the desktop, plus the Steam Deck
Arch
I find that bugs in linux programs (and they will happen regardless of distro) are more easily tweaked in systems that do minimal modifications to upstream programs and keep them updated regularly with what the developers release
Also AUR makes it easy to install pretty much anything without having to add ppas, new repo links, etc
