Who would have thought 10 years ago that one of the biggest contributors to the Linux ecosystem and currently a significant driving force for adoption would come from the gaming industry.

Is this sarcasm? I'm not sure, because there is this guy that said "Valve will save the Linux Desktop" about 10 years ago.

it lets you do cool stuff with audio in your game.
It being open source means you don't have to build entire separate games for non-PC platforms (since you can bring the Valve tool to other consoles).

Linux is finally on track to decent adoption with all of these developments.

If microshit keeps botching windows and creeping out its user base, it might actually be the main OS one day. FOSS4plebs
