You can keep them as pets! They're only poisonous if they eat specific insects from their environment.

Colorado River toads produce 5-MeO-DMT. You don't have to lick them anymore. Harvesters have developed a (more humane?) way to milk the venom and render it into a smokable or injestable powder.

It may be restricted to First Nations religious practitioners the way peyote is, so check local ordinances and suppliers.
