This is the place for discussing the potential collapse of modern civilization and the environment.

Collapse, in this context, refers to the significant loss of an established level or complexity towards a much simpler state. It can occur differently within many areas, orderly or chaotically, and be willing or unwilling. It does not necessarily imply human extinction or a singular, global event. Although, the longer the duration, the more it resembles a ‘decline’ instead of collapse.

No, what they saw is past and present Europe, and the impact it had and still has on India.

You can't ignore the systemic issues like imperialism and capitalism that create these conditions, and expect to come to any useful conclusion.

how does what you are saying make sense in relation to the article posted?

...and yet another page of an half-informed doomer that denies renewable energy sources without giving proof of any theories of the "only fossil energy is real energy!" kind, spewing half-assed stuff of doomsdays like hundreds before, while none came true and obvioisly - by the read of the comments - draws attention to the climate- change deniers.

Wow. Eleitl, thats shit.

What is sad about stuff like that is that it draws attention away from shit that is gonna kill us (fossil fuel induced climate change, banking crisis due to money printing of the fed, a bought system run to keep us sheep from revolting against the very people getting rich while destroying us and our lives).

Even though some stuff you link is ok, the shit-part is so bad, i'd rather go without your "channel".

So long, doomster.

I assume a certain level of knowledge of subscribers, so sorry there is not enough material here to cover the basics. We always welcome contributors and discussions at all levels. That these do not yet happen is an issue of lack of scale.

Feel free to point out the shit parts if you're going to stick around, and I'll try address them should I have time.

I downvoted because the poster didn't back up any of its claims and these kind of hit and run, insulting posts are getting more and more common. I am starting to suspect there's a concerted effort by green energy shills to infiltrate these message boards and spread nonsense. We know there are organized efforts by bad actors to spam sites and spread discord and misinformation, and these kind of attacks have become so frequent that one really becomes suspicious. Green energy has big, institutional money behind it and a vested interest in lying to the public who subsidizes it about its viability, so there's plenty of motive to misuse sites both large and small for this purpose.

Good point. I doubt it's yet astroturfing, could be just amplifying misinformation from renewable PR. Most people don't have a good picture of energy use and raw materials extraction in the global context.
