Anki is an awesome tool to learn stuff by heart!

  • Anki is a free app (also for iOs computer but not iOs phone as far as I know) that does teaching with decks and cards
  • It supports reading text, writing, pictures and audio
  • You can create easily your own cards or download existing decks that others have made
  • With addons, you can tailor Anki even further down to your preferences (looks, functions, card types etc)
  • It gives you data relating to your learning activities (time taken vs amounts of cards, how well you remember stuff, types of cards
  • If you register over Ankiweb, you can sync between devices

I just picked up a link that takes you to shared decks of finnish language: https://ankiweb.net/shared/decks?search=finnish

Anki website: https://apps.ankiweb.net/

I have used this tool on many different topics. It helped me through one test at school years ago. Now I use it for general/random topics of all sorts that seem interesting to me.

We just covered transitiivi vs intransitiivi in my Finnish class this week.

Is there much of a difference of meaning between using a transitive verb in passive voice compared to using an intransitive verb? It seems to be mostly the same in my foreigner's mind.

The r/LearnFinnish subreddit is currently closed (only approved users - which we don't have- can post) as a protest because of Reddit's recent actions. I added links to the Discord server and this Lemmy community.
