Go to Google Maps and find the place you want to measure. Use "Layers" to switch to Satellite view. Then in the Layers menu select Measure. Now you can drop points around the border of the area to be measured! The total area in distance and square footage (meters) shows up!

Have you ever had this problem with a candle where the wax burns unevenly? A tunnel begins to form around the wick and the wax never melts from the sides. You end up wasting half the wax of your expensive scented candle.

There's a simple trick to that. You want to allow the entire surface of the candle to melt before you blow it out. This is especially true for the first time you light it, but helpful on consecutive burns as well. Not all candles are created equal, and sometimes it takes a little encouragement to melt the surface. In those cases I will use a bit of aluminum foil to create a teepee around it to trap the heat in.

It usually will take 2-4 hours to achieve this which is the ideal length of time to be burning a scented candle anyway. Burn it too long and you create soot problems. This happens when the wick burns up too much and it starts to fray and curl up at the ends. It's recommended that you blow it out, and after the wax has cooled you can use scissors or even a special tool to trim off the ends of the wick and remove them. If the charred bits, or any other debris like dust or bugs gets in there, the candle will begin to burn sooty and it will flicker and leave char on the glass. So keep the lid on and keep the wax clean.

Many businesses are returning to the office, which is resulting in workers who prefer fully remote or hybrid work to resign from their positions. If they had asked their job to include specifics about the remote/hybrid policies in their work contract, they would be locked into those policies and could not be forced back into the office.

Never take for granted that the terms of your employment will stay the same unless there is a signed contract ensuring it.

This impacts on your mental health positively by caring for something and you get to appreciate how you connect with your food.

Studies have shown kids that get involved in growing their food have incresed intelligence and test scores and they are more likely to eat their veg if they have grown it.

Growing your own food can be done in small areas with pots or vertical options such as netting or grow towers ect.

Growing your own food is becoming increasingly important with the cost of living crisis and the climate crisis. Now is a good time to learn some skills!

The end of the week has come, the last thing to do is initiate new business, a new conversation or a new idea on the day that is the close out from the week.

Anything new brought up on a Friday can wait until Monday for a discussion or a plan. If it can get taken care of right then then go ahead, but further conversations needed, start Monday.

Then plan whatever you want to do on a Sunday the week ahead. These boundaries help give your mind a break from logistics and planning so it can have a day of rest to just be.

The body might be happy out and about but the mind really wants a day off from figuring life out.

Without a new project to worry about over the weekend and logistics for Sunday taken care of ahead of time, your mind can take a little rest.

Additionally, on weeknights adopt a no logistics after 9pm policy. Your brain will thank you for not trying to figure everything out just before bed.

Since the left is dead in the west, we can't beat them on the streets. But we can, at least, liable and slander their properties on semi anonymous sites!

What is a Life Pro Tip?

A Life Pro Tip (or an LPT) is a specific action with definitive results that improves life for you and those around you in a specific and significant way.

Keep in mind that an aphorism is not a LPT.

An aphorism is a a short clever saying that is intended to express a general truth or a concise statement of a principle.

Examples of aphorisms:

"A barking dog never bites."

"No snowflake in an avalanche ever feels responsible."

"All stones are broken stones."
