I didn't know where else to ask, but my phone seems to default to the AOSP default "Files" app and I do not use Samsung's version. I want to remove it via ADB, but I fear data loss/file deletion. I have come here as a last resort as I can find this nowhere online.

So I just noticed that half of the apps which supports material you are no longer using the selected color pallets and defaulting the app theme to blue color. Can you guys confirm this. For me none of the google app showing the correct color.

I had made Junglecat controller cases for my galaxy fold but just got a S23 Ultra and decided to make another for this phone.

I love how perfectly the size of the controllers matches the phone width. It makes it look like one cohesive device!

Speakers, USB and pen are all accessible still.

I am willing to share the STL for free to anyone interested, but if you want to leave me a 'tip' you can buy the file from my store for five bucks. Also selling printed cases for those without a printer!

Anyone have experience with trade-in for Samsung? I have a tab s7 and it looks pretty much perfect except around the port because I don't look where I plug 🥲.

Any ideas if this would disqualify the trade in, if there's any way to polish it back up, or how people usually prevent this in the first place?

Hey guys, I recently switched cell providers which updated my phone to Android 12. Prior to this, I had my phone configured so that only calls will vibrate, not notifications. I did this by setting my phone to vibrate and changing the notification vibration pattern to silent. After upgrading, this still works, except in one circumstance. When I have my headphones plugged in, any messaging application, such as Discord or Messages, will seem to completely ignore my vibration settings. I also tested setting the notification vibration intensity to the minimum, and this setting seems to be ignored as well. Does anyone know what the issue could be? I've looked through every setting I can find and nothing obvious seems to be wrong. Thanks for the help

Yes I always have the hibernation set to "always on" so I can always see the clock, but I was carrying my phone in my hand while holding a bunch of other things and apparently randomly smashing the touchscreen, and all these settings options popped up.

What did I push to cause this?

And how would one do this intentionally?

I recently got myself a Samsung TV again. I stayed away from Samsung since their TV Always had trouble connecting. Now again years later still the same problem. The Samsung TV says WiFi not available while everything else works flawless. Chromecast works, phone works, other TVs work, PC just this stupid Samsung TV isn't working.

Not looking for a answer or help just being annoyed. I already tried a lot and I'm not willing to do anything else when this is the only thing not working on the network. Chromecast with Google TV is on it's way for this TV now so I don't have to deal with shitty Samsung wifi.

Have you had similar problems?

I had the previous model but loaned it to a student, who had it stolen from them.

I'm trying to get my hands on the EB-P3300XJEGWW or EB-PU300XJEGWW 25w power bank but they don't sell it in Canada (that I can find). Is there an alternative powerbank that will charge my GW4 and my S23? Or is there someone in the US near the border who can ship me one?

Thanks!

Now yes, the animations of OneUi 6 suck. They're even slower than OneUI 5.1 and are not even close to the iPhone. They're ugly, too. And to be honest if they were interupptable I couldn't tell. They still drop hella frames.

However, people may have noticed that gesture navigation is now compatible with launchers. The recents app menu launches instantly, and, when you go home, there is no more delay before you can click an app. (when using a custom launcher.this was already a thing with the OneUI homescreen on OneUI 5.1)

I think that Samsung could still improve on this in the future, but really, especially with this update the phone genuinely feels slower stock. Quite annoying.

I'm being forced into this update, and there's no changelog or info on what's being updated... Just a vague "system configuration update"... What is this?

I had a glass screen protector and a thin case but wasn't expecting this to happen. The screen isn't damaged on the outside which is weird but the display now has 2 horizontal lines and turned green. I can still see but this sucks ass. It's 300€ to replace which I think is too expensive specially considering I wasn't super happy with the phone in the first place. I love it's camera, s pen, and screen. Battery and performance kinda suck so yeah I don't know If I should actually spend more money on this. But I'm also not willing to go for another 1000€ phone ... I'm sad.

Phones in general are so fragile nowadays. My S7 Edge back in the day lasted me 4 years of abuse before finally breaking. This thing costed 1200€ it's just ridiculous.

Also, I have the base exynos variant if that matters.

I'm thinking of using Shizuku to give root access to Automate app. My doubt is will it backfire in some way. I'm trying to automate enabling and disabling of Work Profile based on a schedule which frustratingly is missing on Samsung. I'm trying to run the adb commands "am stop-user -f 10" using privileged user block in Automate. Can anyone comment on this? Thanks in advance.

Turning off this TV really just brings up a black screen. I can for the life of me how to actually turn it off off. It’s mounted so hard to access the power.

Two months ago, I upgraded from my loyal 3 year old friend aka Note 10 Lite to the S22 Ultra (for a low price of 350€ from a trust worthy seller). It's an upgrade yeah, but apart from the way better camera, long software support, and the slight convenience of wireless charging, I don't feel like it's a huge difference. My note 10 lite still delivers even when comparing performance in general. S22 Ultra heats up like crazy and loses performance and battery life because of it. I don't know if it's like that in general because I don't upgrade often but I don't feel like I'm gaining a lot performance wise. For that reason, I still have both and change them up occasionally... Would you consider selling the S22 Ultra for about 400/450€ while it's still relevant, save the money up and maybe wait a few month for the S23 Ultra to drop price or just stick with the 22 Ultra instead, in hopes that updates fix some of those issues?

I rock an S10+ (which is the best phone I've ever had, hands down!), and have just discovered that it has FM radio receiver capability. Can anyone recommend a good app for this? I understand I need to use wired headphones for an antenna, which I'm ok with.

Dear Samsung

I have a Samsung GT-E3210 (semi-dumb phone) made about 2013.

I have had the phone since new.

It has a lock on it. I don't know how it got there. I don't even know what it is. I would like to remove it.

SUMMARY

  1. My SIM card works in other phones without a PIN.

  2. My phone works, with this SIM card, without a PIN.

  3. My phone will not accept another SIM card (even if the correct SIM PIN for that new SIM card is entered).

  4. When a new SIM card is inserted the phone says SIM LOCK and asks for a PASSWORD.

  5. With my usual SIM card inserted, SETTINGS shows SIM LOCK ON. If I select it, it asks for a SIM PASSWORD.

  6. With no SIM card in the phone, SETTINGS says SIM LOCK ON. If I select it, it asks me to INSERT SIM CARD.

ELABORATION

My GT-E3210 has worked for many years with the same old BIG SIM card in it.

I have never programmed a PIN into this old BIG SIM card. I have never used a PIN in connection with this old BIG SIM card.

The phone does not require a PIN when I turn it on each day, or when I re-insert this old BIG SIM card. I have never programmed any kind of security into the phone.

If any other SIM card is placed in it, however, it will not function.

When I tried a new SIM card, the following words filled the screen,

SIM LOCK

(a padlock symbol)

PASSWORD

(a space to enter password)

(and 2 options above the soft keys : CONFIRM and EMERGENCY)

When I entered the verified SIM PIN for this new SIM card it said,

INCORRECT PASSWORD

When I go to SETTINGS > SECURITY I see that one of the four LOCK's is on : SIM LOCK ON.

When I highlight SIM LOCK ON and press the centre button (with my usual old BIG SIM card in the phone) the following words fill the bottom half of the screen

SIM PASSWORD

8 DIGITS

PASSWORD

(a space to enter password)

(and 2 options above the soft keys : OK and CANCEL)

BUT, if there is no SIM card in the phone, when I highlight SIM LOCK ON and press the centre button, it says only

INSERT SIM CARD

TWO QUESTIONS please.

Q1. What is this SIM LOCK ?

Q2. What are my options to turn it off or remove it ?

I would be grateful for any help you could give me.

Yours sincerely ROMMMELLL

I'm looking for a polish or spray that buffs out or removes fine scratches for glass phone screen protectors, not plastic.
