Hello,

I wanted to share one of my ongoing project. This is a directory of works by Harlan Ellison. Ellison was one of the most popular writers of science fiction in his time, but sadly most of his work is out of print. This directory includes summaries of his short stories, essays, book introductions, and teleplays.

Some of Ellison's best-known works include I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream, Repent, Harlequin! Said the Ticktockman (which influenced V for Vendetta), A Boy and His Dog, Dangerous Visions and the Star Trek episode The City on the Edge of Forever.

So, far, 21 books have been added.

I hope this directory helps keep his work alive. If you're a fan and would like to contribute some write-ups of a book that's not been added yet, let me know.

Especially the Ringworld series audio-books are great.

Masha du Toit is celebrating the release of their books on 7 new platforms by making them free until 31st July (except on Amazon because Amazon has other ideas). Sci-fi and fantasy, LGBTQ.

Spread the word :)

To start with, Masha recommends "The Babylon Eye", "We Broke the Moon" (YA drama), or "Ray and the Cat Thing" (quite light).

New to Lemmy, wasn't on Reddit so i don't know the etiquette or how multiple groups are commonly used.

I'd really like to let everyone know about something (temporarily free sci-fi & fantasy ebooks and their writer) but don't want to spam or break norms. Is one post per group acceptable, even if I post to several groups or is that frowned upon?

Hardcore Henry (2015) [ Action / Adventure / Sci-Fi ]

A cybernetically enhanced man attempts to save his wife from a maniacal wizard.

Yeah, the description makes it sound so played, but this is really one of the better movies I've seen in the last decade. It's mostly an action flick in a futuristic setting. Admittedly, there is a twist that can make the first watch a bit confusing, but it's part of its charm.

Lots of brutality and violence, a fair amount of cursing and nudity and pretty much non-stop action cement this in as an excellent 'dude' flick. It also features a fantastic cast that really bring their characters to life. It also has a great ending.
