Gonna try and get my wife to watch Star Wars but I’m not sure I can go through a lot of the drivel of Episode 1 & 2 . Do you guys prefer a fan-edit? Would love if it’s in 4K HDR.

Part Eight: The Jedi, the Witch, and the Warlord

Season 1 Finale. Thoughts?

Edit: Also I'm declaring spoilers for all Star Wars content below. Ahsoka, Rebels, Clone Wars, Mando, etc.

Part Seven: Dreams and Madness

Next week is the season finale, let's discuss the penultimate episode of the season.

I'm aware of the cantina bars on Disney properties like Oga's Cantina, but are there any unofficial Star Wars themed bars anywhere in the world?

It's been a beloved universe for so long, you'd think that somewhere in the world, someone would have dedicated a bar to SW. Especially during the pre-Disney years when it wasn't so litigious.

Anyone know of a SW bar somewhere?

Spoilers for everything thus far.

Thoughts about this tale from a long time ago in a galaxy far far away?

Obviously spoilers ahead

What was everyone's thoughts on this week's episode. For me it was the best one yet and has me hooked now. Very much looking forward to the rest.

Only 4 more episodes to go!

So with all the new materials, shows, books, comics, all the fan edits out there, everying, canon or not, I am really curious about what's everyone's new way of watching and enjoying the Star Wars universe?

I gave episodes 1 & 2 a B- primarily for pacing issues.

Episode 3 resolved my pacing concerns (dialogue seemed to move at a better pace), and the characterization of Hera (the bit we got of her) seemed more consistent with my expectations.

Most importantly, this episode was fun. I enjoyed the interactions between Ahsoka, Sabine, and Huyang. The dynamics of the three are interesting, and Huyang’s pessimism in regards to Sabine’s training gives Ahsoka a chance to be more optimistic than we saw in her interactions with Hera. It’s a good dynamic, and I look forward to seeing it play out further.

Less play with Baylan than I would have liked, but overall I think episode 3 exceeded the expectations I had coming out of the first two episodes.

@starwars THE POETRY OF STAR WARS. Emperor Palpatine's Speech to the Senate in STAR WARS: THE BAD BATCH is written in 9 enclosed quatrains where there's a rhymed couplet sandwiched in between an unrhymed couplet. So the rhyme scheme is this: abbc, deef, ghhi, etc...If I were to perform this poem, I would speak the rhymed lines with great volume and tone than the unrhymed lines and put a brief pause between each stanza. #poetry #starwars #StarWarsTheBadBatch

I thought it was intriguing, and slower than I anticipated until the very end. Seems like a middle ground in tone/pacing to the other Mando-verse shows and Andor. I didn't see a post here so I figured, why not?

I'll be back tomorrow after I sleep to chat more.

THE POETRY OF STAR WARS
http://jamesivan.poetry.blog/2023/08/21/star-wars-episode-v-yodas-sermon/
Yoda's monologue in Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back versifies into 16 lines that oscillate back and forth between lines that have an internal rhyme and lines that DO NOT rhyme at all. The more you internalize the rhyme, the more intelligent and intellectual the character sounds. #StarWars #poetry #poetrycommunity #yoda

Wondering: Is this in a museum? Did a private collector buy it? Does anyone know?

I'm seeing some claims that the original is in Ottawa, but the claim seems pretty thin. Anyone know?
