Hey all, my wife is interested in a turntable that sounds good, but can take some punishment (i.e. kids can use it). I'm a lapsed audiophile, but never did invest seriously in vinyl. I went the SACD route (RIP).

Anyway, what would you recommend? Preferably under $500 CDN, so maybe we'd be looking at lightly used.

While I don't expect much toxicity I will say that our guidelines for moderation are pretty straight forward.

1. Don't be a Jerk. If you are addressing someone make sure you are coming from a place of good faith.

2. Dont post vids of songs unless it's you playing a record for us. Leave the youtube official artist tracks to the music subs.

3. Try and have a good time.
