“Oh no, our forevermore shrinking customer base we're trying to move away from doesn't like it, we should abandon that plan and all but ensure our demise”

This is true even if you take politics out of the equation. See: V-rod, Live wire, etc.

P.S. I'm salty about them killing the V-rod, it's the best looking Harley imo especially when bobbed out, and it's super fast as well

Agreed. None of their popular bikes really resonated with me but I dug some modded V-rods
