Why a Republican specifically? “Reaching across the aisle” is a wasted effort with these people, they’ll still spit in your face. Get the most qualified people for the position and don’t consider their political leanings as the primary factor for hiring them on. Although it is kind of funny that she’s considering a Republican as a DEI hire.
