Honestly I wish we'd stop with the tariffs, it is a tax on the middle class when someone can't afford to own a new electric car. How do we expect to transition to EV in a fair and equitable way when they are out of reach for the buying public. China has been making technology viable, affordable, and more commonplace for as long as I can remember. Why is there this sudden disconnect when it comes to green technology?

This is why there were no tariffs prior to trump. Some countries are strict with them and the population often experiences problems getting materials.
