Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

You do not use AUR enough
How would using the AUR help with stability?
(unless you're being sarcastic, in which case an
/smight make things clearer)I think they said that because OP wrote "not once have I had a problem or anything break. What am I doing wrong?" making it sound like the problem is that they haven't experienced anything break yet.
Oh, ok... That makes more sense.
AUR packages tend to break more often compared to repos ie. anything on AUR that utilizes python needs to be rebuilt if system python is updated.
