i don’t think that has anything to do with it, i like lots of 20 year old shows.

I do too, but all the criticism has been "it's too boring'.

It's slow, because a: it's elves in tolkien, their whole thing is they're timeless as hell and 2: because older shows expected to hang around for 6-odd 22 episode seasons, half of which were filler.

firstly, nah, "slow" is not synonymous with "boring".

secondly, it is NOT just elves. at least half of it is other storylines about dwarves, harfoots, wizards, Numenor, and all kinds of other middle earth stuff that should be way more exciting than it is.

thirdly, what do 22 episode seasons have to do with this show? RoP is only 8 episodes per season, there should be no filler at all.
