There's a lot to pull from for the devil fruit but I also wonder if that could be a misdirect since the official story is that Loki killed his father for his devil fruit, but how does he know how to steal a devil fruit?
oh i hadn't even thought about that. great point, yeah maybe the official story is wrong in some way. i definitely expect loki to get luffy to free him regardless; trickster god (name) vs one of the canonically dumber people in the verse.
