yeah the problem is now I'd have to do that in front of several people they work with. So like, this would either be embarrassing for them in front of their coworkers, or for me, or for both of us.
Slip them your number on a note on top of cash for your purchase?
I do have my number and name on a piece of paper in my wallet but it's been forever since I've gone there and they actually waited on me. They're a budtender and dispensaries have interesting set ups where I live. They don't really let you walk around and shop. Someone immediately greets you and then that's your budtender and they do their best to try and not let your attention go elsewhere. Like if I even look away for a second at any dispensary, the budtender will say something to get my attention again.
It's an interesting form of customer service that I don't see anywhere else. They're also working for tips and are known for being flirty. The missed connections page where I live has loads of people who have a crush on their budtender. So like, its really common and frowned upon.
Also interesting- I notice that person tries to talk to me more when they're not waiting on me. And their coworkers are still doing the thing to keep my attention away. It's caused a lot awkward interactions unfortunately.
