The Rules

Posts must be:

  1. Links to news stories from...
  2. ...credible sources, with...
  3. ...their original headlines, that...
  4. ...would make people who see the headline think, “That has got to be a story from The Onion, America’s Finest News Source.”

Comments must abide by the server rules for Lemmy.world and generally abstain from trollish, bigoted, or otherwise disruptive behavior that makes this community less fun for everyone.

And that’s basically it!

Despite the clickbaity title, its unusual for a politician to publicly announce such thing.

The title's not just clickbaity, it's a misrepresentation to the point of bordering on DARVO tactics. You might as well publish a news article on August 10th 1945 that says "Japan mad at US".

Any suggestion for a better title? (genuinely asking) Regardless, I still think its a "Not The Onion" worthy ~~post~~ news.

Sorry, most of this vitriol is directed at VOA. Not sure what the submission guidelines are on NTO but you might not be able to change it. It would've been better if they ran with something along the lines of "Philippine vice president promises revenge assassination if president assassinates her".
