The new Plex UI has modern visuals and one-handed navigation. But is it a step back for self-hosting enthusiasts?

I gotta be honest, I didn’t even notice. I don’t use the app much though, so there wasn’t anything to which I’d grown super attuned. Seems fine.

The only thing I don't like is the growing pains (video haphazardly resizes when I tap to view the controls and the top status bar appears) and the fact that switching libraries involves an extra click now.

I mostly use the local web interface. I’ve noticed the new stuff added but I just unpin and ignore it. Still does what I want, and I’m one of the ones that got the lifetime pass for $25 like 10+ years ago. So until it’s so bad it’s useless, it’s still worth what I paid for it.
