Released in 1988, it was re-released in 1990 alongside its inclusion on The La’s self-titled and only album. I once had a house mate who loved this album and I would probably agree with his opinion that it is an almost perfect LP. Sixpence None the Richer covered this song in 1999, but the original is far superior!
