Is there any way to report this spamming? In particular is there any way to report this spamming that doesn't require creating a separate account on a separate system?

Good question.
You can't "report it" from Lemmy because there's not even a post there to report.
You can probably DM @TheDude@sh.itjust.works directly within Lemmy.

My guess is at some point, we'll probably have to decide whether to require approval for creating a community instead of allowing everything and purging the garbage. Idk.

A rate limit per day might knock down the spam without needing pre-approval.
