The previous season covered chapters 1-60, so I'm going to guess that this season will cover chapters 61-119.

Mild manga spoilersSeason 2 should be more like the 2nd cour of season 1 in pacing and length of arcs, but I liked the material more to a lot more than the first-class mage exam arc.

Ending at chapter 119 because that's the end of an arc.

I've tried those.

Sea of Stars looks as pretty as Chrono Trigger, but its writing is noticeably worse and it completely fails at one of Chrono Trigger's great strengths, pacing. In Sea of Stars' defense, it is generally better than Chrono Trigger at interesting dungeon design and its battle system has more potential. But those don't compensate enough for poor writing and especially pacing.

Chained Echoes tries really hard to fit a 32-bit plot into a 16-bit running time, and it doesn't quite work. Still, it left me interested in more by the same dev team, especially if trends and tech change so that they can switch to doing a game explicitly inspired by Xenogears and its ilk.

You can take a break and come back later, or study less. The Japanese language isn't going anywhere.

I didn't see any relevant surviving quotations elsewhere in the pinned post, and I'm not going to go through a whole community looking.

Looking at feddit.org's homepage now, it has this rule:

"Content that is illegal in Germany, Austria or Switzerland will be deleted and can lead to an immediate ban of the account." (emphasis mine)

I am totally ignorant of how German law applies to social media hosted in Austria and moderated by Germans, but the intent to not host content illegal in Germany seems clear and a clear motivation for their censorship. I also can't evaluate the quality of their censorship because I'm not familiar with the requirements of German law.

I wish some of those comments “just expressing dissatisfaction and questioning the policy” had survived, because without them it's your word against theirs. :(

SJW here has similar policies to feddit.org. If it's illegal in Canada, it can't be hosted here, even if it's legal in your country of residence.

Are there any comments that were "just expressing dissatisfaction and questioning the policy" that survived in the modlog? It's got a lot of users banned without a record of the comment.

How is OnlyOffice's offline performance and support for Graphite smart font technology? I use Graphite fonts and no support for those is a deal-breaker.

Font Awesome is a font that uses codepoints in the "Private Use Area" for icons. (The Private Use Area is a chunk of Unicode specifically set aside for any font to put any image they want in there, instead of expecting a certain codepoint to display as a specific letter.)

To the OP: I don't know much about this, but if you use a different app, does Arch's Font Awesome show as the colored or B&W version? You might have to try a wide variety of apps due to competing color font standards.

Mononoke came to mind although there probably is a better one.

I haven't watched them, but I've heard little but good about Twelve Kingdoms, Magic Knights Rayearth, and El-Hazard.

Iosevka fits very well with East Asian characters, if you need those.

I find it narrower than I like otherwise, but I need Japanese characters often enough that I put up with it for my terminal.

I need local font support far, far more often than I need collaborative editing. Plus, call me old, but I don't like storing everything on a server in Virginia for Google to read.

I tested Diamine Imperial Purple in a reused Sailor cartridge before putting it in a demonstrator, and the result was a stained cartridge. I love the color, but I haven't had any luck getting it out of my cartridge with water, soap, a little bit of ammonia, and time.

I don't write much, so a pen could stay inked up for months on end.

Is there a way to get this color out of plastic? Is it safe to use in converters and demonstrators without staining them too?

quakers.social shows up on our list of blocked instances, but looking at the most recent posts at https://quakers.social/public/local I can't see why. They seem like a harmless group with a lot of religious reposts. Does sh.itjust.works have a policy of reciprocal blocking or something like that?

Washable inks? (sh.itjust.works)
submitted 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) by Shihali@sh.itjust.works to c/fountainpens@wayfarershaven.eu

Are there any inks that wash out of clothing very quickly and easily? I'm especially interested in inks that wash out cleanly without stain treatment.

Edit: Washing quickly and easily off the toddler is a bonus.

This copies a post by grailly on Reddit.

Most games have adopted popular RPG mechanics and it's widely accepted that "everything's an RPG now". RPGs are also some of the biggest and most popular games around.

I'd argue that Puzzle Game mechanics (aka puzzles) are even more widespread than RPG mechanics throughout the media. However, Puzzle Games themselves are pretty niche and basically never get any big budget titles. This gets more surprising when realizing Puzzle Games are very popular; Tetris might just be the most recognizable video game, Portal (Portal 2 might be the only AAA puzzle game?!) is insanely beloved, wordle took the world by storm last year, sudoku and crosswords are still in the newspaper every day, Candy Crush...

Why do you think Puzzle Games are relegated to being indie or AA?

I thought about it a bit and came up with some unbaked responses which I hope you will add to:

  • People want to kill stuff in AAA games. To which I answer, can't we kill stuff in puzzle games?

  • There's little point to making Puzzle Games more expensive. Would having The Witness or Talos Principle pushed to AAA status make them any better?

  • "Puzzle" is a recessive genre. Add anything to a puzzle game and they aren't considered puzzle games anymore. So making a AAA Puzzle game will basically remove its Puzzle Game consideration. Puzzle + exploration = adventure. Puzzle + fighting = Action adventure. Puzzle + story = walking simulator, etc.

What mods are highly recommended for Crusader Kings II? I haven't gotten the new one yet -- had to get a computer that can run it first -- so I'm still interested in mods for the old one.
