I'd say Americans are tipping far more than they ever have, since literally every single payment you make begs for a tip now. It's prosperous. Then of course waiters aren't doing themselves any favors by going on social media and telling people they suck for not paying 5-10% more than the standard good tip. Sorry bub, you can't demand a 65% raise and make me feel guilty for not bowing to your will.
