I actually agree. Some of these federated services are fundamentally different and when they interact, shit can get weird. Don't get me wrong, I don't think, for example, Sharkkey shouldn't interact with Mastodon, because they are both microblogging platforms, but I wouldn't want to see a picture of a tweet from Mastodon on Pixelfed.
