If they're good enough for Roman legionaries, they're good enough for you.
Romans are one of the best arguments for why skirts are masculine. Freedom of movement for fighting, one of the things many people have always thought of as stereotypically manly.
We don't need such arguments here, of course, we know what's up.
Still fun to bring stuff like this up when you're talking to someone who's leaning on the conservative side in terms of gender roles.
