I'm trying to become a vegetarian currently, while I'm not disgusted by the taste of meat, I am disgusted by the treatment of the animals in its production. I've cut back substantially over the past 3 months, but am having trouble quitting entirely. The thing causing me to have so much trouble is sometimes I need to grab food very quickly and I don't have many options available unfortunately.
Still, it's been 3 weeks since I've had it last, and I'm hoping that I can stay committed to quitting meat entirely.
I was in a similar place. There were times I craved meat. There were times I gave in and enjoyed the meal, but with terrible sense of guilt baked in.
After some time completely resisting I found out I just don't like the taste that much anymore. It was ok but... just not worth it. Such a freeing feeling.
