How do you know they are wasting money? Did you review their performances? Who told you they're a waste of taxpayer's money?
Because Musk sure didn't either: he just sent blanket emails to everybody telling them they're fired. So his assessment on their performances is equally uninformed.
You can't be this simple-minded. I have to think you're trolling.
I worked with them. Trust me, they're wasting your money, they know it, and they knew their jobs were safe. Until now! lol

Most federal workers are useful people, like firefighters and park rangers. But don't let reality interfere with your stereotypes.
But even if 90% of all federal were useless pen-pushers: so it's okay for you to fire everybody including 10% of invaluable scientists working on health issues, nuclear engineers keeping our stockpile of Cold War shit safe, VA workers catering to the needs of veterans... in the name of removing the useless 90%?
