I have a friend complaining about some of the cuts. I asked her, how do we know they were doing productive work or work at all?
I don’t like how disorganized the cuts appear to be but just because we have x number of people doesn’t mean we need x number of people.
They only have two years - I think it cannot be done orderly. Company I worked for had a reorganization, a lot of people were fired. The organization will have to fix itself, but it is definitely going to hurt.
They will have to combine this with deregulation though.
I do think what Milei does in Argentina is a more thought out plan, but maybe DOGE is similar and we don't know all details.
