This whole situation is absolutely fucking mortifying, genuinely. I can’t honestly think of another instance in which we’ve pulled such a rapid, bad-faith, ill-advised, and idiotic about face in terms of foreign policy.
I just hate that his kids will campaign on his effectiveness as a leader in like 8-12 years.
Hopefully, he’ll have hurt and killed enough people that his popularity goes down somewhat. But he’s always gonna have the Nationalist Christians / Dominionists on his side - that needs to be addressed from a societal angle
B-b-but the minerals! Their value might just cover the rebuilding of the critical government functions after DOGE is finished looting it and the world is at war.
