Good thing is people can post and anyone not on startrek.website can see them, but I'm still not sure if they'll sync to .website after it comes back

The way I understand it. Anyone on an instance will be able to see what other people on the same instance post, but people on other instances won't see the post because federation triggers through the source community.

That's what I thought, but startrek.website (the instance the community is hosted on right now) is down but you and others from other instances can still see and comment on my and others' posts.
