I mean, I miss Obama and Biden a lot more, but in 2025 I do indeed miss Bush as well. I wasn't really paying attention back when Clinton was president but I miss him too.

At least the team of people that did the breaking down of democracy and hawkish warmongering were competent and managed to keep up a semblance of outward coherence and an illusion of ethical motivation and diplomacy.

But unfortunately he set the bar so low that somehow this - gesticulates wildly at the general world state - is now passable.

I'd like very much an in depth interview with the Bush team about what is happening now and have an honest answer about this is what they envisioned with their neo-conservative policy. It will never happen but I need to hope that somewhere in is a sense of embarrassment or, dare I say, guilt.
