I just started playing this last night. It's absolutely phenomenal.
I agree. Only about 3 hours in and I love everything about it. Takes me back to Chrono Trigger.
Best way I can describe it is if Zelda and Crono Trigger had a kid with Tomb Raider. It’s fantastic.
I've been meaning to play chrono trigger. Would it be better for me to play that first? I have a copy of the DS version.
You don't need to play it first, but I would still recommend it.
Final Fantasy 13-2 is like modern day Chrono Trigger fwiw. Absolutely great game and critically under-loved since people still absolutely loathed 13... only for them to fuck it all again in 13-3 lol.
