Curiosity

Cultivated/dispositional interest in patterns, novel ideas and stimuli, people, and having a broadened model of the world + life

I affectionately call it "the 'Cure" (like yore)

Just funny that you are saying that you can't relate to someone because they can't relate to someone. Empathy isn't just about feeling other people's pain, it's about being able to understand things from another perspective.

Not being able to relate to them is literally relating to them.

I see the joke in it now, but its a bit of a stretch of the definition imo :D

A little like the tolerance paradox. I can't tolerate intolerance - this is necessary for tolerance to survive
