Being held accountable by anything is generally helpful in motivating, and then after a month or so it’s just habit at that point.

For me, it was more that I got numbers and data that I could look at and try and improve. It turned the vague in to the specific, which at least for my brain, makes things for more engaging

Same here. I know a lot of people that go crazy with numbers, but for me it is the key for staying interested.
