Place to post and discuss THRASH METAL!
RULES (MUST READ):
- Please keep things relevant to thrash (death thrash, blackened thrash, crossover, speed metal etc. are permitted). While we understand it is subjective, if a moderator believes a song to stray too far from thrash, it will likely be locked. Please do not take this personally. Repeat offenders may see posts removed.
- Please search before posting a song, do not repeat posts.
- Friendly debate is encouraged.
- When posting a song use the format of "Band - Song [FFO: band1, band2]". This just helps keep things uniform. The "FFO" (For Fans Of) section is optional. It is for lesser known bands. (Stole this idea from the Death Metal community).
- No racist, sexist, blah blah blah... you get the idea. This is not the place to discuss sensitive matters.
- No NSFW content (apart from songs/album covers. If they do include NSFW content, please mark the posts as such).
- Post in English only (obviously you can post songs in different languages).
- But most of all have fun XD.

That’s a bit more on the death side of things than my tastes usually run, but it’s got some good grooves to it, and the video is mint. I’ve been really getting back into music videos recently, Gnome’s Golden Fool and The Ogre videos are brilliant, and Psychedelic Porn Crumpets’ March on Pax Romana is phenomenal (none of them are thrash though). I’m of the MTV generation, and I’d not realised how much I missed good videos until recently
Glad you enjoyed the music vid! Idk what is about music vids that, when I myself was growing up I always thought it was a sign the band is on its way to selling out. Like when Metallica was super popular, they never had a music video until their single One on their fourth album. And from there I always dismissed em. But after I graduated high school then entered the working world, music and life in general changed and with that change so did my attitudes towards a lot of stuff - music videos became a bit more positive for me.
So I've missed out on a lot of music videos from bands I love, and I'll just slowly let myself discover them naturally, or in the case with this post, watch em as they come out! Btw those vids you linked were fantastic, and now I have a new band to follow in Gnome! Thanks for bringing this to my attention lol. If you haven't checked out !doommetal@lemmy.world yet, I've posted a few sludge metal tracks here and there!
Thanks, Gnome are a proper gem, their own very specific kind of weird. Check out the video to Wenceslas for some fantastic dancing. I’d not found the doom metal community, so thanks. That’s right up my street, finding Pelican, Baroness and Elder in the first few posts makes me think there’ll be plenty to get my teeth into in there.
