The videos are pretty funny. The robots are worse than most toddlers. That said I look forward to the field of robot sports. I can see it being a really good way of showcasing new tech and also pushing innovation.

This kind of reminds me of stuff like stable diffusion around 3-4 years ago. It was like oh it's so cute how it can make a 64x64 image that sort of looks like something. Fast forward to today and these things are generating high resolution photorealistic images. I'm expecting that robots will be moving as fluidly as humans and will be navigating environments with ease within a few years.

I cant wait for the new "doping scandal" in sports to be developers teaching their bots how to hack the opposition.

More likely that cheating in this context would be finding out that the robots are secretly being controlled remotely by humans behind the scenes, battle bots style.
