A very difficult guy, but so so fucking important to comics history. And damn good at what he did

...i posit that jim shooter's tenure fostered marvel's second-most-successful creative run on the merits of editorial consistency, which has always been fundamental to marvel's identity and success...

...i don't think his pinnacle decade has been matched since, not in print...

100%. He built modern Marvel, and did it best or at least with the best track-record.
