Ok, I despise Amazon, but sometimes you can't find something anywhere else. I now accidentally have 30 days of their TV thing. What should I check out?

Invincible

The Boys

Reacher (S2 is kind of a dog, but still worth watching).

The first two suggestions are violent and I mean VIOLENT

@MeanElevator @Catfish seconding The Boys, and I don't even like violent or superhero. It's very clever, but quite awful, and very watchable if you can get past the ultraviolence.

That show is so disturbing and excellent.

Compare violent to opening sequence S1 American Gods?? Violence is fine by me if it has purpose and plot. That Bone Tomahawk bit was a shock, but made sense.

I'm pretty sure the first scene of the Boys someone gets vaporised except for their hands.

It's gory as, but somehow with a purpose.

I don't even remember any violence at the start of American Gods. I just remember absolute boredom. I didn't even finish the first episode the first time I watched it, and then slogged through a few episodes after being assured it would get really good and be worthwhile. Spoiler: it wasn't. I didn't enjoy any of it in the slightest.

There was non book set up scene for the undocumented Scandinavian first North Americans.

Thirding The Boys. Yes it’s blood soaked, but in a comedic style. It’s very cleverly written and is a parody and warning of current American politics.

I'll Fourth it. I really enjoyed it (although I've only seen the first two seasons, as I only use streaming services occassionally)
