I wonder how much of the 1.5B is guaranteed, knowing that the current admin will do any and everything to get them off the air. Hell of a payday if it only makes it half a season.
Are you suggesting someone could actually get this show canceled? Wasn't season 22 about them basically not even being able to cancel their own show?
He gets what he wants, like a screaming toddler with virtually zero repercussions. Of course I think he will try. He made CBS tuck tail and pay him money. He made Colbert disappear. What's to stop him?
Heh. Anything to get them to spend their energy, money and influence.
I imagine that the shift to Podcasts will decisively silence Colbert to an equal extent as it did Conan.
