Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

All suffering is born of desire.
So if you get a disease and suffer, it's because you were desiring something?
I desire to not suffer
How dare you!
You desired health and did not accept sickness as a natural part of life.
And that caused the sickness?
Of course not. The sickness was caused by external factors; your suffering from the sickness was caused by your desire for health.
I don't think you get to choose whether or not your illness is suffering at that point.
I desire the world to be better for the future generations and have them be able to live their lives judgement free. I don’t think that’ll spawn suffering onto others. It may make me feel miserable because it’s a seemingly insurmountable task. However, I take comfort in the fact I can make my city/state a better place for my children and I hope to impact it so that others feel the same about making it better and assuring that it stays better. As long as there is one place I have left better off so the future can call it home, I’ll be able to pass on happy.
You’re right, I misunderstood
Downvoted for quoting Buddha, never change lemmy, never change 🙄
