I don’t give people credit for being rude just because they avoid foul language.
Let me rephrase my previous point: you were being a bloody cunt. Maybe you’re a great lad normally, but both your replies to the other guy were cunty.
Try to be nicer to people. This is probably not the first time in your life a stranger has reacted to your behaviour.

I still hold that as a part of the proper definition of friendship, someone who is with you in good times and bad times but also calls you out when you're being a bad person
