The main issue I'm having with liftoff is that I cannot upvote or comment posts from other instances with my lemmy.ml account, so I'm still using jerboa
It is kinda bad UI decision, not a bug. You should login into your account on some instance and choose through which instance you get content on the top of the screen. After that you will not have problems with commenting. Same thing with search, under search rectangle choose your instance! โค๏ธ
I figured this out pretty early on but still getting this error. Weird.
Maybe you should relogin. My assumption.
