Is there ANY way to lock a variable in about:config to never be changed even with updates? (lemmy.ml)

I'm so beyond fucking tired of changing my about:config over and over and over and over to reallow myself to drag files to my desktop. Why the fuck is this so important for Mozilla to change on me every single time? Let me keep my settings how I fucking want them!

I can't help you with Firefox being a moving target, but this is exactly why i use mullvad browser now. All the settings at my preferred paranoia level out of the box
