I wanna use signal but I only text like 10 people tops and 9 of them have iPhones like me and would never listen to me about moving to signal.

Install it and use it with the few who do. Eventually more people will switch. Someone will see you are a user in their contacts and that adds to the network effect. Also install.the app on your family members phones so you can chat privately.

Joe Krogan! For one I love your name. I had to explain it to my gf cause she hates Joe Rogan and doesn’t know what a Krogan is and she got a good laugh. I feel like I see you all the time on the same communities I follow lol. Good idea though, Didn’t think of the network effect. I’m def gonna install it on my mom’s phone. She’s the only person I text who’s on android for the most part. And a co worker I’ve became friends with I said we gotta stop using this teams BS to chat so their gonna get signal.

Might be able to convince my gf but she’s one of the people who hate green texts so prob won’t wanna use a different app lol but il just install it on her phone and stop responding To iMessage texts haha.

Thanks. I happened be playing mass effect Andromeda at the time I made the account 🙂.

Yea I hear you. I started with a small circle and it expanded there. My team use it in work with disappearing messages so we can make sure we are not getting screwed over by management with regards to pay and stuff ✊.

I appreciate the kind words my man. Hope you are doing well . Have a great day 🤗

How many apps do they have installed? Are they very good friends if they won't install a single -- free -- app to stay in touch with you?

I was in a similar boat when I started using Signal in 2016. Now, everyone I care to talk to is on Signal. The rest can contact me via SMS alongside login TOTPs and dentist appointment reminders.

You don't have to compromise your values due to peer pressure.

You’re not wrong lol. I installed it again today and saw my mom already has it ! I don’t remember doing it for her and she had no idea she even had it lol but 1 down 9 to go lol

I use Signal, that said:

Are they very good friends if they won’t install a single — free — app to stay in touch with you?

Is someone a very good friend if they won’t communicate with you because you won’t use their preferred app? That’s the real question you’ve presented.

You don’t have to compromise your values due to peer pressure.

You seem confused, if you’re trying to talk someone into using your preferred app that they may know nothing about, then you’re the one engaging in peer pressure, not the other way around.
